3/4 Year Old Tumble
Tuesday 4:00-4:30pm. Running July 11-August 15. This is a fun class that introduces students to basic tumbling fundamentals. This includes forwards and backwards rolls, bridges, cartwheels and variations, and more. Students will work on strength and body awareness, all while working on solid foundations of beginner skills in a safe and supportive way.
5/6 Year Old Tumble
Tuesday 4:00-4:30pm. Running July 11-August 15. This is a fun class that introduces students to basic tumbling fundamentals and continues to work on skills already learned. This includes forwards and backwards rolls, bridges, cartwheels and variations, and more. Students will work on strength and body awareness, all while working on solid foundations of beginner skills in a safe and supportive way.
3/4 Year Old Tap and Ballet
Tuesday 4:30-5:15pm. Running July 11-August 15. This class will be focused on the foundation for correct, safe, and successful dancing in years to follow. Students will learn the basic steps and terminology in ballet and tap, along with the introduction of more skills and techniques. Instructions will foster creativity and imagination in class through movement and imaginary games.
5/6 Year Old Tap and Ballet
Tuesday 4:30-5:15pm. Running July 11-August 15. Our tots 2 class consists of tap and ballet. This class is built on basic movements, already learned in Tots 1 but also appropriate for the first-time dancer. At this level, students will learn coordination with more challenging tap and ballet skills, through imagination activities across the floor while building balance and confidence. Dancers will enjoy learning ballet and tap terminology as well as the dance moves and express their individuality.
6-10 Year Old Tumble
Tuesday 5:15-5:45pm. Running July 11-August 15. This class will work on strength, flexibility, and continue focusing on proper technique for all skills. Instructors will work on round offs and variations, standing back backs and recover, back bend kick offs and more. Instructors will provide safety for all tumbling. Panel mat or yoga mat needed for this class.
6-10 Year Old Hip Hop
Tuesday 5:45-6:15pm. Running July 11-August 15. Hip-hop encompasses many different dance styles. Our hip-hop classes teach rhythm, coordination, musicality, and choreography that is age appropriate. Students will enjoy an energetic class that will develop focus, strength, and agility while having fun.
6-10 Year Old
Wednesday 5:30-6:30pm. Running July 12-August 16. This combo class is for students that are always showing off their dance moves and love to flip around. It combines the basics of hip-hop and tumbling skills with age-appropriate movement and music. Panel mat or yoga mat needed. Clean dry sneakers needed for Hip-Hop.
10+ Year Old
Tuesday 6:15-7:45pm. Running July 11-August 15. Lyrical/Ballet - This class focuses on control and fluidity of movement. The main foundation for this style is in ballet and uses ballet technique and terminology. Dancers will develop musicality, advance their performance skills, and solidify their ballet and jazz technique. Tap - This class will include American Tap Dance history, a standard tap dance warm up, technique drills, and choreography. Students will build on technique that has been previously learned and will develop a deeper understanding for how skills stack together to make particular combinations and rhythms. Jazz - Dancers will continue learning jazz terminology, ranging from isolations to a variety of jumps and turns.
Dance With Me
18 months-3 years
Thursday 4:30-5:00pm. Running July 13-August 17. Dance With Me (ages 18 months - 3 years): Dance with Me is a 30-minute creative movement class suitable for your young dancer. Parents/caregivers will participate actively in the class as children learn basic dance steps, movement, and terminology, through songs, stories, and play. Props will be used for interactive play.
7-9 Year Old
Tap, Jazz, Ballet
Thursday 4:30-6:00pm. Running July 13-August 17. Tap - This class will work on a series of tap skills in combinations timing and rhythm, or which primarily uses the foot and ankle strengths. Jazz - This class begins with a warm-up and some stretching, to work on increasing flexibility. This class will work on leaps, turns, and stylized movement to upbeat music. Ballet - This class is focused on graceful, precise steps, strong core and posture, and will develop discipline and coordination. Barre work and center floor work will be taught along with terminology.
4-6 Year Old
Thursday 5:15-6:15pm. Running from July 13-August 17. This combo class is for students that are always showing off their dance moves and love to flip around. It combines the basics of hip-hop and tumbling skills with age-appropriate movement and music.
